Military expeditionary operations rely primarily on membrane reverse osmosis water purification (ROWPU) technology, which requires a significant power supply from diesel generators or reliable in-country electricity to produce the high amounts of pressure it needs to make clean drinking water.

To overcome the dependency on these traditional power sources, LWS has invented a scalable purification solution that requires only sunlight to function. It requires far less labor to operate and maintain than traditional RO technology, which extends its membrane life and reduces system down time for cleaning and preventive maintenance. Because its integrated thermal-membrane system combines filtration and heat generation processes into one simultaneous function, it is a far simpler, less expensive, less logistics intensive solution than ROWPU.

Customers include defense organizations and emergency first responders worldwide needing expeditionary water purification capability that is easily deployable and off-grid.
